Philippe BARTH cumulates 28 years of experience in R&D and management within international pharmaceutical firms, life science venture capital, Biotech consulting and CEO of a biotech start-up.
During 17 years, Philippe started as a Clinical Development specialist successively at Bayer, Wellcome (GSK), Guerbet and Merck Lipha (now Merck-Serono) where he moved from Int’l Clinical Development Director & R&D Board member to global management as Director R&D Strategic Planning & Biotech Alliances.
Between 2001 and 2003, he turned to Life Science Venture Capital and joined Siparex Ventures as Senior Investment Partner where he constituted from scratch and managed (board member) a portfolio of 10 companies.
Since 2003, Philippe operates as an independent Biotech Consultant and has advised numerous international life sciences companies in the fields of corporate strategy and financing, licensing, M&A and team building. Between 2006 and 2008, he was CEO and President of the start-up Mellitech SAS for which he raised seed capital, negotiated industrial and commercial partnerships and signed licensing agreements.
Philippe joined HTI as a Senior Consultant early 2009, to develop the executive search practice throughout Europe with a particular focus on key managers for Pharma and Biotech industries and Life Science Venture Capital.
